Jinal Vora
Counselling Psychologist, School Psychologist
I'm Jinal Vora, a Counselling Psychologist and Vocational Guide with over fifteen years of experience supporting children, young adults, and adults. My approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based, and I draw on art, play, sand, and movement therapies to tailor sessions to each client. I work with children and teens, parents and educators, adults navigating stress or life transitions, and students and professionals seeking career clarity. I would be glad to support you in taking your next step forward.
Why I host this workshop: to make evidence-based mental health skills feel simple, humane, and usable in real life.
What This Workshop Covers
Riding My Wave: Art-Based Workshop for Everyday Anxiety
About the session
Riding My Wave is a 90-minute live, online workshop for adults who want to understand what sits behind their everyday anxiety. Using simple, guided art exercises, you’ll map the triggers that stress you out, see what’s within your control and what isn’t, and leave with practical tools you can use straight away. No art skills are needed. This is about noticing, not making something that looks good.
What happens in the session
Settle in: a short grounding exercise and a warm-up scribble.
Map your triggers: you’ll identify six everyday stressors and draw each one using colours, shapes or symbols.
Sort and understand: you’ll separate triggers that come from outside you from those that come from within, and explore how you can respond to each.
Ride your wave: a guided visualisation helps you see how you’re meeting anxiety now and how you’d like to meet it.
Build your toolkit: you’ll learn simple strategies for racing thoughts, body tension, difficult feelings and the inner critic.
Close gently: a short reflection and a shared breath to finish.
How it’s run
The session is led live by Jinal Vora, a Counselling Psychologist & Vocational Guide with nearly 15 years of experience. The work is individual and self-paced: there are no breakout rooms, and sharing is always optional. You can pause, skip or simply observe at any point, and your camera is optional. The group is kept small, with a maximum of 12 participants.
